Current Year 12 Students:

• If you are currently in Year 12, you must apply via VTAC or UAC regardless of whether you live in Victoria, NSW or a different state.
• Once you have submitted a Collarts course into your VTAC or UAC preferences, one of our Future Student Advisors will be in touch with you.

Non-Year 12 Students:

Entry Requirements / Eligibility

Years 12's:

There is NO ATAR requirement for any of the Collarts courses. There are no subject or individual score requirements. 

Applications must meet the following criteria:

• Completion of Year 12, or the state or international equivalent. This includes VCE, Senior VCE VM*, HSC, IB or state/international equivalent.

• Successful Entry Conversation with a Future Student Advisor.

• Creative submission or portfolio relevant to your chosen course.

• Successful Audition for the Music Performance, and Performing Arts (Acting, Comedy Writing and Performance, Writing & Directing) courses. 

*Senior VCE VM applicants are eligible for diploma courses only that may be used as pathways into a bachelor’s degree.

Non-Years 12's:

Applications must one of the following criteria:

• Completion of at least half of the first year of study (0.5 equivalent full-time study load) of a higher education diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree or higher, or international equivalent, or

• VET Certificate/Diploma, or an international equivalent qualification, or work and life experience.

Applications must meet the following criteria:

• Successful Entry Conversation with a Future Student Advisor for all courses

• Successful Audition for the Music Performance, and Performing Arts (Acting, Comedy Writing and Performance, Writing & Directing) courses. 

• Creative Submission or portfolio for Screen and Media course

Accepting Your Offer

On the official offer release date, Collarts will send you an email containing your offer and instructions to complete your enrolment.

To accept your official offer, you’ll need to prepare a few important documents in advance so you can secure your place quickly:

Required documents

• A valid form of ID (Birth Certificate, Passport, or Citizenship Certificate)

• Your USI (Unique Student Identifier) - apply here

• Your TFN (Tax File Number) - apply here

Step-by-step process

Step 1: Accept your offer Follow the instructions in your official offer email to accept your place.

Step 2: Upload your 100 points of ID You must provide:

• Primary ID (must include one): Passport, Birth Certificate, or Citizenship Certificate

• Secondary ID (must include one): Driver’s Licence, Medicare card, or equivalent

Step 3: Keep your details ready Have your USI and TFN on hand to complete the enrolment process smoothly.

When is the latest I can apply?

We recommend applying for your course of interest as soon as the applications for your intake are open—right now if you're interested in the next intake.

Applications usually close at least a week prior to classes beginning. However some courses are more competitive than others and places will fill up quickly and may close earlier. It will take some time to complete the admissions process after submitting an application so apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
